Follow your dreams

Is something easier said than done. First you must have a dream. Do you know what is your dream? I don't mean the one you have every night. I have been following a blogger who called himself Boey. He is an aspiring author and an accomplish artist - the drawing kind. He has been blogging since 2007 but I've only know him in recent months. I am addictive to his blog because he posts almost every day and his blog's short and funny. However recently he blogs less and less, must be busy getting his second book ready. Did I mention he quit his dream job to pursue a bigger dream of having his own ...er..merchandise?Brand? He draws Styrofoam cups which sells at > $100. On the side he's published his first book. I don't know why I am writing all this, you can read them in his wiki and assorted other links. I hope he would go back to daily blogging soon but he seem to be going through a rough patch now.

Another one of my favorite bloggers is Stickgal. She had published a book too and have stopped blogging for awhile. Perhaps she is following a dream. But now she is back blogging but seem to be going through a rough patch too. Why both also going through a rough patch? Channeling misery into entertainment.

Both of them drew simple stick figures with Boey adding a some narrative to it. People draw stick figures because it's just convenient and easy, I draw stick figures because that's the only thing I am good at it. If only talent comes in a pill...
